He has a broad range of strategic and implementation experience with a variety of tools and technologies. Early on, Vic was a key member of the team at NCA Corporation that developed MAXCIM, one of the first commercially available ERP packages. He was the second IT person recruited at Apple Computer and was instrumental in creating Apple's initial IT strategy. He was the on-site leader of system implementations in support of manufacturing and distribution, both domestically and in Europe. Later Vic rejoined NCA and became Director of R&D. He forged strong ties with the Marketing and Sales functions, integrating R&D with the corporate "go to market" strategy. Later, Vic was Director of Product Development, for Unisyn, a venture capital funded startup; directing R&D for one of the first Unix/RDBMS based ERP systems. He then joined MIPS Computer Systems, a pioneer of RISC CPU architecture for Unix machines, in a key IT role culminating in overall responsibility for worldwide IT. After MIPS, Vic became Director of IT Applications for Xilinx, one of the first fabless semiconductor companies, where he directed the IT transition as the company grew from $200MM to $600MM in revenue. Subsequently, Vic took on the role of VP Operations and CIO for Connect, Inc., a supplier of web-based sales and procurement applications, where he rebuilt the company's network infrastructure and raised the reliability of its production web hosting operation to nearly 100%. Then, as VP, Information Technology for Leasing Solutions, a leading worldwide provider of technology operating leases, he directed a business/IT collaboration that led to a three-fold improvement in end of lease processing time. He also chaired the Business Operations Group, responsible for managing all process improvement activity within the company. Vic created the IT function for startup manufacturer Halo Data Devices, recruiting staff and implementing the JD Edwards OneWorld ERP product in Singapore and the US in four months' time. Currently, Vic is an executive at Colliers Parrish International, a commercial real estate firm. Vic holds a Bachelor's Degree from San Jose State University. |
